The Strategy
Creating daily animations for Inktober was an exciting challenge! One that required a rigorous strategy to stay on track, no matter what. Balancing creativity, technical execution, and time management was key. To keep a steady workflow, I established a three-step daily process: Sketching, Illustration, and lastly... Animation.
Every Day started with the most critical step!
Ideation and Sketching
Every morning, I woke up, brewed myself a cup of tea, opened the Inktober calendar, and... well... let's be honest... I braced myself for the challenge ahead. Each prompt was a single word, and it was my job to transform that word into a compelling visual story.
To accomplish this, I studied their meanings, exploring their cultural references, and identifying visual representations. The goal was to create an interpretation that was both creating and compelling. Once I had a few strong concepts, I refined the sketch, foccusing on balance, composition, and how it would translate into an looping animation.

With the idea set in stone...
Now we can start havin' fun!
With a solid idea in place, I hopped straight into Adobe Illustrator to design the final illustration. Since all 31 animations were a part of cohesive series, I set up a very strict illustration guideline to follow. This guideline consisted of a colour palette, light weights, style language, and themes. With the illustration set, most participants of Inktober would stop there... I, however, then prepped the file for animation, organizing layers for a seamless workflow.

And so, we've reached the crux of this operation:
Bringing the words to life.
This stage was the most time-sensitive, as each animation had to be completed all within a single day. To stay efficient, I leveraged every trick and scheme at my disposal. Making sure to utilise optimized keyframes, easing techniques, and expressions to ensure smooth, looping animations.

The Results
This creative marathon was a smashing success! Showcasing my ability to consistently produce high-quality word while under tight deadlines. Each animation was not only visually stunning, but also a part of a larger, conhesive family.
